Script Hook V is an add-on library that binds GTA V mods together. If you've wanted to customize the way your GTA V configuration works, then you can use this tool to run scripting functions and connect them to ASI plug-ins. Gamers who already have some mod files sitting around can use the software to activate them.

Anyone who has the 2013 version of Grand Theft Auto V should find that Script Hook V works with their game. Numerous mods have been developed for the title, and an overwhelming majority of these can be found online in download repositories. Once you have a mod on your hard drive, you'll be able to open it with the software like any other document.

Though Script Hook V is essentially a video game utility, it does rely heavily on Grand Theft Auto's underlying data storage structures. As a result, you might not find it particularly useful if you don't have at least some background in scripting. Fortunately, you don't really need to know how to code to use the tool. It can update mods instantly with a click and it runs all of GTA V's script functions straight out of the box. While you're going to need to constantly update it to keep up with the various changes that developers are making to the game, you might be able to get it to work without having to tamper with scripts by hand.

Eventually, players will find that installing multiple mods causes them to conflict with one another. Script Hook V mitigates scripting errors regardless of how many mods you have installed. If it detects one, then it automatically marks it as problematic and gives you the ability to take corrective action.

All you'll need to do in order to get started is extract a single archive and then copy a few files from inside of a binaries directory. Most of the plugin's magic is accomplished by a single DLL, so you won't need to actually go through an installation wizard.

ASI files are used to alter gameplay, and Script Hook V can load them like any other file. You simply have to install the included loader if you don't have it already. Those who have old versions of the ASI Loader will want to remove these before they get started.

On top of these two utilities, Script Hook V also comes with Native Trainer. This app features a number of handy gameplay cheats that can be used regardless of what mods you might already be running. It offers players the ability to spawn any vehicle from the game that they want. You could even use it to add additional weapons to your inventory. While it doesn't support network play, this tool should prove very attractive to those who want to experiment with the single-player version of the game.
